Biography

I originally trained in Physical and Social Anthropology at University College, London. I did some fieldwork in Ethnobiology – the traditional, indigenous use of natural resources. After working with two healers in a village in Gambia, I deepened my interest in nature-based, universally available healing techniques.

I trained in a range of healing modalities including Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology, Metamorphic Technique and Reiki. I also trained in energy work over three and half years with the College of Healing which had been set up in Malvern in the 1980s.

All the time parenting two children, I started training in coaching 2008 and went on to train in NLP, DISC personality profiling, Youth Mindfulness and Youth Impact Coaching.

I am interested in how we generate different qualities of energy and the impact of that energy on the world around us. Ever since I began coaching I have been interested in how to merge coaching and energy work. For me, the Generative Coaching process is a step towards this.

I remain committed to developing language and concepts around what we mean by ‘energy’. My point of view is that until we acknowledge the energy aspect of our human being we cannot be involved in having agency over the outcomes of our actions, because, ‘if your can’t measure, it you can’t manage it’.
